In life we are internally driven to succeed
In love there are people who touch your heart that you want to succeed
I wish nothing more than for you to be a quitter
In life there are vices to pacify the deep needs of insecurity while chasing success
In love there are people who love you and wish no insecurity for you
I wish nothing more than for you to be a quitter
In life there are advancements like births, marriages, promotions, celebrations and graduations
In love is the creation of unity, children, families and celebrations of completing milestones
I wish nothing more than for you to be a quitter
After 50 years of addiction the chemical took you away
I wish you were here to see the growth of your grandchildren
Experience the woman I am becoming
Attend the renewal of my wedding vows
Attend my graduation
But for your years of addiction I wish you were a quitter

Listening To Others
There is so much happening over the next couple of weeks. I feel a bit overwhelmed by everything.
I take things day by day. At times I think that time is too slow. We live in a fast food nation. Everything has to be done yesterday. Time and circumstance can beat you down mentally. Priorities run together in a blur. It sets the boundaries of those who want and those who do.
These words that my cousin in law shared on Facebook today really was a gentle reminder that everything will be okay. There is a plan for everything!
"Whatever is happening in your life right now, good or bad, Satan is using it to break you, but God is using it to build and affirm you." (Thanks Joseph)
After I read that post I thought about the things I was stressed about this morning. When I woke up I gave my stress up. In a few short hours prayers were answered. the little voice that says "can't" was replaced by "will".
Now that I have that quote tomorrow seems easier to handle knowing that by doing the right things consistently and by not giving up goodness will conquer all!
Love,

PS~ How are you spreading your wings and helping grow some crow feet?

My, My how Times Have Changed!
Tonight I was interested in how potpourri is made. So, I decided to use Google to search the term "how to make potpourri"
Google is very efficient and it's almost too efficient. As I typed each letter a predefined term popped out as a suggestion. For example, after entering part of the search term "How to make p..." Google recommended "How to make play dough". Then the letter "o" was added. Here is where it got interesting. The search term "How to make po..." recommended "How to make pot brownies"
When the entire objective for the search was to find out how to make potpourri in delicious fragrances such as rose, lavender, mint and many others. Google delivers a suggestion for chocolate and stink weed.
Times have changed! I was a bit shocked that Google actually recommended how to make food out of something that is illegal without a prescription. I am going to stick with figuring out how to make potpourri but thanks for the advice Google.

Crow Feet A Must Have
"Mommy, why do you have so many lines by your eyes when you smile?" my 8 year old daughter asked. I had to think about why I had those lines. When I look at her amazing little face and her beaming smile there are no lines. I responded "There are a lot of lines on this face because through out my life there has been a lot of laughter and smiles in my life. Everyday, I will do everything possible to help you grow your smile lines too!"
At that point it came clear that as a mother, wife, sister, cousin, student & artist I need to share the innocence of laughter and the gift of feeling truly happy with everyone. This life is never going to be a cake walk for any of us. That's where crow feet come from. Think about the things we have all experienced. Touch your face and feel the lines that run from the outer edge of your eyes to your cheeks. Those funny little lines are a result of happiness and laughter. We seem to recall the toughest of tough times but during those times your crows feet were still developing. Through all the tears some smiles found their way to your heart.
Crow feet cafe is created purely with one intention in mind. My full intention is to make others smile. I will be posting funny stories in the blog. There will be items created by me that will be sure to touch someones life. Plus there will be tutorials of how to make crafts because accomplishing a new skill also creates smile lines.
Here I encourage each one of you to grow your crow feet. In the process share your experiences and share it with others. I challenge you to watch those smile lines grow!
I look forward to updating as much as possible to bring joy and laughter!
See you in the Crow Feet Cafe!
